Name: Julian Mathias Grahmn

Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian , of vaguely European/Irish lineage, though there may be some other things thrown in.

Date of Birth: March 18, 2125

Sex: Male

Sexual Orientation: Celibate by choice, though would consider amending his vow for the right person of either gender.

Personality: Flamboyant, over-exaggerated in his dress and mannerisms. Generous and friendly, a strong faith in spiritualism and his work. He is honest and caring, despite how hokey some of his self-created rituals may seem.

Motivations: Julian is a spiritualist faith healer. He believes that his purpose in life is to help others and to show them that there is still a reason to have faith in such a world. He believes that if the balance of the world could be restored, a less troubled time would come to pass. He has a number of rituals and superstitions he follows - most of these are self imposed.

Physical description: Long red hair, usually unbound; pale skin, green eyes. He has a tendency to wear strangely mismatched or brightly colored clothing. 5'11, 160 lbs. No scars or piercings, no tattoos.

Mutations: Mental - the power of faith. Julian has a strong spiritual faith, which he often uses to evangelical purposes. This can include laying on of hands to heal the sick or injured. The relative effect of this ability relies strongly on how much the person receiving the healing has faith in Julian's ability to actually do what he claims he can do. Though 'miracles' have been reported, in actuality he hasn't done more than cure a few minor ailments and strengthen a few aching bones. Whether he is actually capable of more intense displays of faith remains to be seen.

Special abilities: Julian has a strong history in spiritualism, and has studied other religions as well. He has a fairly charismatic nature, and can speak well - especially on topics regarding philosophy and religion.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Julian always sees the good in mankind, which makes him especially trusting. He can be somewhat naive, and others may take advantage of his generosity and good nature. He is colorblind - which is part of the reason behind his mismatched clothing. He has a tendency to look to the heavens when troubled, sometimes overlooking the more obvious solution in the process. He can overcomplicated things at times by thinking too much about circumstances.

Bio
The eldest son of a middle-class businessman who owned a manufacturing plant and a three-armed mutant woman, born in a small metropolis near Babylon. Julian's parents were at first afraid to have children, least the mutation be passed on. Eliza Grahmn was a good woman, but she was certainly bad for Arthur Grahmn's business. The last thing he needed was a mutated child to trouble things further.

Eliza took to visiting various churches, seeking to be 'cured of her affliction'. She met a spiritualist priest who told her what the fates had in store for her - she would give birth to two healthy children, but she should not press her luck and try to have more. Furthermore, the business must be given to the younger, despite the tradition.

Though Arthur thought this quite the load of crap, he agreed to give it a try. He wasn't getting any younger, and he did need someone (mutant or no) to carry on the family line. When Julian was born, he appeared normal - and three years later, his sister Terra was born, equally unafflicted.

Heartened by this success, Arthur pressed Eliza to try for a third. The results were staggeringly bad. Eliza died in childbirth - and the child was so deformed that Arthur abandoned it on a church door and told everyone it died along with his wife.

Though Terra was too young to know different, Julian was old enough to pick up on some of the details - and confronted his father about it as a teen. He was told only where the child had been abandoned, at a spiritualist church in Babylon.

Julian left home for Babylon at the age of 17, and found the church in question. They welcomed him, but told him that the child had been kidnapped from their grounds as an infant, likely by a pre-mutant organization. Before his kidnapping, they'd given the child the name Job.

Julian stayed on at the church, and learned the ways of spiritualism. He then traveled around the city to other churches, seeking his own opinions. After much study, he came to the conclusion that he would follow his own less organized spiritual path.

He began ministering to the poor, and it was while helping and old woman one day he discovered a miraculous thing- he was able to assist her arthritis with the touch of his hands. Soon other people began seeking him out as word spread.

Now 28, Julian lives a lower-class life primarily by choice - most of what he has he gives away to those in need. He subsists on donations from the faithful he has healed, and the occasional odd job. But he is not worried by this - on the contrary, he is pleased by the good he is doing and hopes to do more. He also hopes to find his missing sibling someday...
